Moonlight in the mountains

Moonlight in the mountains

my friend, I see

is here with me

we walk the road alone

we were young

to walk the road

walk the road alone

along the mile to the springs

candle lantern burning

up ahead, a strange light gleams

starts our minds to dreaming

the hot springs pool

the midnight hour

we did soak there

for awhile

then a dare

to walk there

in the moonlight winter night

naked in the mountains

who would give out

to the pool returning

taking turns

we went again

walking ever further

through the yucca

and the sage

up the desert canyon trail

a sudden knowing

a magic moment

I had found

warm and free

as it's ment to be

no one else around
