a group of friends

to the hot place

we did go

the walking long

the journey slow

Desert heat

a long hike

with hot feet

halfway through the second day

we arrived and we did stay

On a late and Dreamy Night

my friend and I

with great delight

slithered up the waters way

sliding there from pool to pool

with water hot

and night wind cool

on smooth wet rock we slipped

on a primal amphibious trip

chaparral, and yucca bloom

steam clouds drift on desert moon
